Corporate headquarters are at Einhell Germany AG in Landau/Isar in Germany. Einhell develops and sells solutions for the handyman and tradesman for home, garden and recreational use.

The Einhell portfolio today includes about 3500 items: Car accessories and tools as well as products and implements for garden, leisure and household use. It all began in 1964 with contract manufacturing of transformers, switchgear and construction site distribution boxes which featured an innovative 3-phase reversing switch.

The production base quickly expanded into the first large series products: small battery chargers, welding transformers, cable drums and tool boxes, providing better utilization of the existing transformer winding and metal fabrication production facilities. Once Europe's largest mail order company had included Einhell battery chargers in their mail order catalogue, the future direction of the company's product strategy was essentially in place.
